Anniversary: Ten years of ITU at Consist

Exactly ten years ago, Consist ITU Environmental Software GmbH became a subsidiary of Consist Software Solutions GmbH. The decade has been one of continuous growth for the company, which specializes in Europe-wide IT solutions for environmental protection and operational monitoring, as well as a decade of successful positioning as the leading expert in the electronic waste records procedure. Consist ITU is currently bringing environmental compliance and its Big Data solution for environmental and waste disposal management to the market.

Hamburg – Consist ITU Environmental Software GmbH, headquartered in Hamburg, has been part of Consist Software Solutions GmbH since December 2004. "For us, belonging to Consist is an IT success story. The support of our parent Consist Software Solutions allowed us to develop the product Modawi and take our place as the leading eANV (electronic records procedure) solution," explains Ute Müller, Managing Director of Consist ITU. For 15 years, Consist ITU has successfully supported the official agencies of all the German Länder in the electronic implementation of waste monitoring, in particular with the waste monitoring system ASYS. With Modawi, Consist ITU has now established itself as a solution provider in the business world as well.

IT innovation for environmental and waste disposal management

Among the current topics of innovation at Consist ITU are their offerings in environmental compliance and Big Data.

Environmental compliance includes the permanent, demonstrable observance of environmentally oriented laws, ordinances, conditions, etc. that a company has to follow and fulfill. Achieving that at the lowest possible cost is made possible by Consist ITU's particular approach: modeling and continual adaptation of the associated processes in a BPM software package (Business Process Management).

With Big Data technology, large quantities of data can be stored and analyzed, and complex processes in eANV can be automatically monitored. Consist ITU relies on its own open-source-based software that make use of all corporate data to assist in optimization of processes in waste management and environmental protection.
